Congressmen visit confectionery headquarters

This week two NCA members hosted Congressmen at their company headquarters, providing facility tours and a forum for discussion of the U.S. sugar program. On Monday Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) visited Lucky Country, Inc. in Lincolnton, N.C., where CEO Billy Henry met with the congressman and his staff to discuss his company’s positive impact on jobs in the community and the negative effects of the sugar program. On Tuesday Congressman Rush Holt (D-N.J.) visited the Somerset, N.J. headquarters of The Promotion in Motion Companies, Inc. where staff members discussed sugar, taxes and permitting challenges
